Recently, the MSM were shocked by the news that a girlfriend in Obama’s Dreams book was a composite. For many, such news comes as no surprise. The concept of a composite presidency certainly comes as no shock as someone who participated as a contributor and authored evidence presented at Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s press conference on Obama’s long-form birth certificate report. On the heels of these events — and taking advantage of an anniversary of the bin Laden raid — are recent campaign tactics to politicize the killing of Osama bin Laden.

With the re-emergence of another round of gutsy call faux heroism regarding Obama’s decision, it may also be a good time to revisit the famous “Situation Room” photo released by the White House. Is it Photoshopped? Like everything else Obama does to make a political point, is the photo a composite as well?

Beyond the obvious blurred photo in front of Hillary Clinton, are there other hints of manipulation? A Swedish paper makes the observation that Obama looks like a midget in the chair despite his six-foot-plus stature. When comparing the size of the surrounding people in the photo to Obama, the photo certainly gives the impression that Obama’s head (or possibly the entire body) was placed into the photo and resized a tad too small. And as a side-note observation: why is everyone in the room dressed in work attire — as if they went to work that day — except for Obama?

They return now, fully vested in the system and confident of their ability to make it better. Unlike their unfortunate young counterparts in the Occupy movement, these heroic All-American men and women, who represent the best among us, choose to make their voice heard in civil ways and in tribute to what we have accomplished as a nation.

Like Kennedy, Ford, H.W. Bush and many others of the Greatest Generation, and like the brothers in arms who followed after Korea and Vietnam, they know full well what service means and the responsibility it carries.

In 1975, nearly 70% of Capitol seats were held by veterans of World War II and Korea. Today, the Congress has the fewest Veterans in its history. Just 20% of those on Capitol Hill today have served in the military (25 in the Senate and 90 in the house), and even fewer are combat veterans.

But a new generation of agents of change are on their way, determined to fix what ails us. By returning to the sound policies that put the nation–not special interests–first, they know they can right the ship-of-state and steer it far from harm’s way.

The Afghan man captured on a grainy surveillance video was a known insurgent. And there he was — again — digging a hole for a homemade mine beneath a well-traveled dirt road in Helmand province.

Several Marines in a nearby combat outpost watched the video feed closely, but a decision on what to do fell to 1st Lt. Josh Waddell, executive officer of India Company, who was running the command post on the afternoon of Nov. 1 for 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines.

Waddell, 25, sprang into action, calling his battalion headquarters to get authorization — what military lawyers call “positive identification” — to launch a strike. From there, he hurriedly issued orders to ground patrol units, sniper teams and aircraft hovering nearby, coordinating a complex operation to kill or capture the enemy.

The insurgent was surrounded by a village full of women and children, so Waddell’s decisions required the kind of nuanced judgment call that has become a hallmark requirement of today’s often murky counterinsurgency missions.

Waddell opted against calling in the helicopter gunships. Instead, he ordered a sniper team to home in on the insurgent. The first sniper shot was high and off-target, sending the man sprinting across a patch of farmland. But other shots struck his leg and stomach. The man dropped and rolled into a ditch for cover.

Waddell had a split second to decide on his next move. And the choice he made — to fight rather than stand down — put him in one of the thorniest dilemmas faced by leaders in today’s wars: the rules of engagement.

Drafted by lawyers and obsessively reviewed by senior commanders, the ROE govern when it’s OK to shoot — and when it’s not. But on the battlefield, confusion often reigns and leaders don’t have time to seek a second opinion before ordering their troops to use deadly force.

After-action reviews of commander decisions have led to courts-martial, career-killing bad evals and hours of second guessing.

Restrictive ROE in Afghanistan have led to congressional inquiries and a move to create a special panel to decide whether a service member’s actions were justified.

An order to fire

When Waddell saw some civilians hoist the wounded insurgent onto a nearby tractor, the young Marine saw a tactical retreat. He ordered his snipers to fire at the tractor’s engine block, to disable it until a Marine foot patrol could arrive to detain the man.

What a lawyer later saw were civilians conducting a medical evacuation — and firing on them was a potential war crime.

The religion of peace my ass. What god do they pray to … or is it a god?
By Mohammad Hamid

KUNDUZ, Afghanistan | Tue Apr 17, 2012 8:44am EDT

KUNDUZ, Afghanistan (Reuters) – About 150 Afghan schoolgirls were poisoned on Tuesday after drinking contaminated water at a high school in the country’s north, officials said, blaming it on conservative radicals opposed to female education.

Since the 2001 toppling of the Taliban, which banned education for women and girls, females have returned to schools, especially in Kabul.

But periodic attacks still occur against girls, teachers and their school buildings, usually in the more conservative south and east of the country, from where the Taliban insurgency draws most support.

“We are 100 percent sure that the water they drunk inside their classes was poisoned. This is either the work of those who are against girls’ education or irresponsible armed individuals,” said Jan Mohammad Nabizada, a spokesman for education department in northern Takhar province.

Some of the 150 girls, who suffered from headaches and vomiting, were in critical condition, while others were able to go home after treatment in hospital, the officials said.

They said they knew the water had been poisoned because a larger tank used to fill the affected water jugs was not contaminated.

“This is not a natural illness. It’s an intentional act to poison schoolgirls,” said Haffizullah Safi, head of Takhar’s public health department.

None of the officials blamed any particular group for the attack, fearing retribution from anyone named.

The Afghan government said last year that the Taliban, which has been trying to adopt a more moderate face to advance exploratory peace talks, had dropped its opposition to female education.

But the insurgency has never stated that explicitly and in the past acid has been thrown in the faces of women and girls by hard line Islamists while walking to school.

Education for women was outlawed by the Taliban government from 1996-2001 as un-Islamic

PARIS — French police swooped down on suspected Islamist networks Friday, arresting 19 people as President Nicolas Sarkozy vowed a crackdown would continue after an extremist gunman’s killing spree.
The arrests took place in several cities including Toulouse, where Mohamed Merah was shot dead by police last week after a series of cold-blooded shootings in southwestern France that left seven dead.

Sarkozy said the arrests targeted “radical Islam” and that the trauma in France after the shootings in Toulouse and Montauban was somewhat like that felt in the United States after the September 11, 2001 attacks.

“What must be understood is that the trauma of Montauban and Toulouse is profound for our country, a little — I don’t want to compare the horrors — a little like the trauma that followed in the United States and in New York after the September 11, 2001 attacks,” he told Europe 1 radio….

The operation “is not linked only to Toulouse, it’s on all of French territory, is linked with a form of radical Islam and is in full accordance with the law,” Sarkozy said….

“We have some extremely precise questions to ask a certain number of people and what happened this morning will continue,” said Sarkozy, in the thick of a heated campaign for France’s two-round April-May presidential election.

“There will be other operations that will continue and will also allow us to expel from our national territory a certain number of people,” he added.

Sarkozy also defended France’s decision this week to bar some Muslim preachers from entering the country, saying: “We don’t want people who advocate values contrary to the republic to be invited to our territory.”

Police sources said the raids were “not directly linked” to the Toulouse shootings but targeted at extremists networks.

Police said Kalashnikov assault rifles and other weapons were seized during the raids.

Among those arrested was Mohammed Achamlane, the head of a suspected extremist group called Forsane Alizza, the sources said, with three Kalashnikovs, a Glock pistol and a grenade were seized from his home….

Raymond Ibrahim: Saudi Grand Mufti Calls for “Destruction of All Churches in Region”

According to several Arabic news sources, last Monday, Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, declared that it is “necessary to destroy all the churches of the region.”

The Grand Mufti made his assertion in response to a question posed by a delegation from Kuwait, regarding the position of a Kuwaiti parliament member who recently called for the “removal” of churches (he later “clarified” by saying he merely meant that no churches should be built in Kuwait). The Kuwaiti delegation wanted to confirm Sharia’s position on churches.

Accordingly, the Grand Mufti “stressed that Kuwait was a part of the Arabian Peninsula, and therefore it is necessary to destroy all churches in it.”

As with many grand muftis before him, the Sheikh based his proclamation on the famous tradition, or hadith, wherein the prophet of Islam declared on his deathbed that “There are not to be two religions in the [Arabian] Peninsula,” which has always been interpreted to mean that only Islam can be practiced in the region.

AMERICA’S HUNTERS — Pretty Amazing!

The world’s largest army… America’s hunters! I had never thought about this….

A blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and arrived at a striking conclusion:

There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin . Allow me to restate that number:

Over the last several months Wisconsin’s hunters became the eighth largest army in the world.

More men under arms than in Iran.

More than France and Germany combined.

These men deployed to the woods of a single American state, Wisconsin , to hunt with firearms, and no one was killed.

That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania and Michigan’s 700,000 hunters, all of whom have now returned home safely.

Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia and it literally establishes the fact that the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world….And then add in the total number of hunters in the other 46 states..It’s millions more.

The point?

America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower.

Hunting — it’s not just a way to fill the freezer. It’s a matter of national security.

***************************************
That’s why all enemies, foreign and domestic, want to see us disarmed.

Food for thought when next we consider gun control.

Have A Great Day!!
————————————-
Overall it’s true so if we disregard some assumptions that hunters don’t possess the same skills as soldiers the question would still remain, what army of 2 million would want to face 30, 40, 50 million armed citizens.

Don’t ever allow gun control or confiscation of guns ,for the sake of our freedom.
