From Where We Stand

Dear Mrs. Pelosi—

From where we stand, and we have stood in the midst of desperate battle for this nation, you are manifestly an enemy of The American People.  We have held the hands of our brothers and sisters, dying in war for all of us and in defense of our Constitution. Even to this very day, we can see their blood upon our hands, with the eyes of our hearts.  Therefore, Mrs. Pelosi, if and when we come to Washington, we will never shake hands with the likes of you, Obama and Reid.  You have betrayed your oaths to defend our Constitution, made a mockery of the integrity of our legislative processes. By acts that could destroy us economically, you have betrayed the sacred trust of those who have served this country—civilian and military alike—who have worked hard to enjoy the fruits of their labor in old age and now see their pensions threatened, not by a crisis that no one could prevent but by a willful, virtually treasonous form of fiscal irresponsibility.  Lincoln was right.  Anyone, we suppose even you, can fool “some of the people all of the time”—and these are perhaps the ones among your constituency who may yet vote for you in November, despite every lie and act of theft and treason perpetrated by you and your cohorts in the House of Representatives, the Senate and the Executive Branch.

From where we have stood in war, we have never seen the Scales of Justice balanced by acts of war.  War is the hell to which a nation’s path will surely lead when governments undermine and eventually destroy the foundations of peace.  We have defended the citizens of the United States against the effects of bad government in other nations overseas and we will defend the citizens of this great nation against you and your minions

The foundations of peace depend upon limited government. This is how we limit the ability of bad ideas to lead to bad decisions—all perpetuated through massive governmental structures that proliferate the very machinery of tyranny—the tyranny necessary to extract whatever wealth can be stolen from those who then have less and less incentive to be productive.  We have fought the Communists in the jungles of Asia; now, we will fight you and your crowd in that fetid swamp called Washington.   Have you not learned from history?  Even the Russians are shocked and dismayed by our rush toward Socialism—as if we have forgotten or ignored the decades of suffering brought about by the forcible redistribution of wealth and the atrocities to which such policies must certainly lead with virtual inevitability.  We will, therefore, tear down your legacy of lies and every brick upon brick with mortar in between of the bloated bureaucratic kingdom you have funded to perpetuate everything from Progressive lies about our nation’s history, to perversions of the decent morality of our people and the  economic enslavement of our children and grand children. You, Obama and Reid seek to fundamentally transform a nation founded by those from whose boots you are not worthy to lick the dust. With a hubris that boggles the mind, you seek to transform us into something your betters, the Founding Fathers, never meant us to be.

Moreover, we have traveled the world and learned with utmost certainty that the foundations of peace depend upon there being incentives sufficient to motivate individuals to be productive. Furthermore, there must be engendered & encouraged, in our people, a moral instinct or inclination to show compassion to those who are devastated by the tragedies of sickness and other circumstances beyond their power to control.  By attacking and destroying more and more of the incentives of We-The-People to be productive, you leave less and less resource available by which individual citizens, communities and charitable organizations can act with compassion—a greatness of compassion that has shone throughout the years as brightly as a city set upon a hill.

The foundations of peace depend just as much upon the disposition of those who receive the fruits of compassion:  their hearts can be changed from despair to faith & hope, because they have seen the evidence that human beings do indeed care enough to give them a hand up, that their fellow Americans willingly show them mercy and will sacrifice with great generosity to uplift a soul in their hour of dire distress.  Contrary to any common sense grasp of human nature, what you have done is travel far down the path of taking away the foundation (deeply rooted in the truths of human nature) of the very means by which those who are in need can truly have their hearts transformed by the mercy and compassion they have received from others.  There will never be enough money to satisfy those who feel entitled to something for nothing; there will always be those political hyenas, like you, who play upon this sense of entitlement and stir up the anger of the down-trodden, rendering compassion and mercy and gratitude all but meaningless.  If the downtrodden feel entitled, they’ll be unable to feel any true sense of gratitude to those whose resources are being used to lift them up.  By stealing the means & motives for compassion & gratitude, you threaten to destroy the heart of our country.  The America in which we believe gives the kind of compassion which changes hearts and ensures the land is filled with all the incentives necessary to firmly establish the basis for anyone to hope & believe that, with hard work, every person can make it here.

From where we stand, we begin a march to the seats of power—seats of power and responsibility that belong to We-The-People alone.  We intend to light a fire that burns brightly and burns fiercely until the likes of you, Obama and Reid are purged from this government that belongs only to We-The-People of The United States of America.  We will look under every rock, examine every thread of evidence, follow the money and bring to Justice the likes of you and those who have cooperated with you in the enormity of this betrayal of trust and who have undermined and are undermining the present and future good of our great nation.
